Fabio Merlo the developer behind FlightControlReplay (FCR), has provided details on the upcoming v5 Summer Update that adds new features to the program.

Highlights include a new much-awaited fly-by replay function, with the camera automatically following an aircraft from a fixed viewpoint during a fly-by.

The file size for a recorded flight has been reduced using an improved compression algorithm and the aircraft lights and door position on the Hype Performance Group H145 helicopter are now recorded. Additionally, the update will include the ability to cut parts of a recorded flight and save it as a separate file.

The FCR user interface can also be customised so users can choose which components of the software will be displayed. The Summer Update will be free to all owners of FCR version 5. The package is available on simMarket for €24 (£21 approx).
