Flughafen Wien Group reports strongest month since pandemic began

Passenger numbers from August are considerably more positive than figures reported in 2020

The Flughafen Wien Group recorded its highest passenger figures last month since the outbreak of COVID-19.

The operator – which handles Vienna, Malta and Kosice airports – experienced a vast decline of 45.3% compared to pre-pandemic levels. However, this is still more than double the number of passengers recorded in the same month in 2020.
