France inducts first C-130J

Babak Taghvaee FRENCH DEFENCE minister Florence Parly officially welcomed the Armée de l’Air’s (French Air Force’s) first C-130J to Escadron de Transport 2/61 ‘Franche-Comté’ at Base Aérienne 123 Orléans- Bricy on January 15. France will receive a total of four Super Hercules aircraft – two C-130J-30 airlifters and two KC-130J tankers – via Foreign Military Sales channels. Final deliveries are expected next year.
