Everett Washington’s Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum, a world class collection of historic aircraft and vehicles, re-opened to the public last month

The attraction, founded by the late Paul Allen and now owned by Walmart director Steuart Walton, opened to the public some three years after it closed in March 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.

After its first weekend, it was set to open each following Saturday and Sunday and then commence a newly established weekly schedule, from Wednesday to Sunday. Due to demand, attendance at the opening weekend was by advance ticket only.

Director of Operations Amber Richards said: “In March 2020, [the museum] announced its temporary closure. It’s nothing short of incredible to be opening three years after closure, at a time that we pause in remembrance of those who lost their lives in service to our nation. It’s an honour to share these stories with the public.” Executive director Adrian Hunt added: “Our team has been working tirelessly to prepare for visitors and to share one of the most amazing collections of wartime history in the world.”
