IAG shifts A321XLR debut to Iberia
Iberia will be the first operator of the Airbus A321XLR. The Spanish carrier said it expects its initial example of the new long-range A321neo variant “later this summer”.Fellow International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG) carrier Aer Lingus had originally been earmarked as the debut A321XLR operator, however a pilots’ pay dispute means IAG have decided to reallocate IAG’s first example elsewhere within the group.Iberia will introduce the A321XLR on routes from Madrid to Boston and Washington, DC in the winter 2024-25
