Japanese KC-46A completes first refuelling sortie
The initial Boeing KC-46A Pegasus tanker for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) successfully refuelled another aircraft in-flight for the first time during a test sortie over Washington state on July 20. Boeing announced the recent completion of this milestone on August 16, adding that the Japan-bound tanker successfully transferred fuel to another KC-46A and was itself refuelled during the test flight. Japan is the first export customer for the type and is scheduled to receive its first of four
