JAS wins Lubbock baggage contract

Aviation technical services specialist JAS has signed a contract for the inline baggage handling system at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport.

JSM Airport Services (JAS)’s operational goals at the recently renovated Texas airport include enhancing service efficiencies minimising cost and risk to the airport, and providing a worry-free experience for passengers. The contract covers baggage handling system operation, management, and maintenance services for the outbound common-use automated inline baggage handling system, the inbound baggage handling system, and the slope-plate carousel bag claim devices.

Mike Conner, JAS president, said: “JSM is honoured to have been selected to perform the services. Lubbock Preston Smith is an integral part of the Lubbock economy. Similarly, the baggage handling system is a vital element of the airport’s operation, overall customer satisfaction and passenger safety.”
