JASDF Jumbos visit Malta
Japanese Air Self-Defense Force Boeing 747-47C 20-1101 (c/n 24730/816) ‘Japanese Air Force One’ was one of a pair visiting Malta International Airport on May 27. Accompanied by sister aircraft 20-1102, 20-1101 was at Luqa for a state visit to Malta by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. The two aircraft had taken off from Sigonella, Sicily, following the G7 Summit and landed in Malta at 1830hrs. They departed the same day at 2330hrs. Operating unit is 701 Hikotai at Chitose.Matthew Schembri
