JASDF’s First F-35A Delivered to Luke
LOCKHEED MARTIN F-35A Lightning II 69-8701 (AX-1), the first for the Japan Air Self- Defense Force (JASDF), has been delivered to Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The jet arrived at the base on November 28 from the factory in Fort Worth, Texas. Three more were scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2016. Its arrival marks the next step for the international F-35 training programme, as it is the first Foreign Military Sales aircraft to arrive at Luke. The
