‘Jumbo’ finale for JASDF
BOTH JAPAN Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) Boeing 747-47Cs were withdrawn from service at the end of the latest fiscal year – March 31 – and have been offered for sale. Operated by 701 Hikotai from Chitose Air Base, the 747s entered JASDF service in 1991 and will be replaced by two 777-300ERs.
