Kiwi Anson heading to Czech Republic
On 3 October, the RAF Station Czechoslovakia organisation announced the acquisition of Avro Anson I MH120/ZK-RRA from Bill Reid in Omaka, New Zealand. The aircraft — the only airworthy Anson I in the world — is due to arrive at Podhorany airfield, 47 miles east of Prague, early in the new year. Restored by Reid in a purpose-built hangar at his farm in Wakefield between 2003 and 2012, the Anson made its first flight from Nelson Airport on 17 July
