Large aircraft movements begin at Duxford
Major changes are underway this year within IWM Duxford’s vast AirSpace hangar, home to such exhibits as Concorde 101 G-AXDN and Avro Vulcan B.2 XJ824. As the next phase of the long-term Transforming IWM Duxford project, the conservation team is preparing AirSpace to become a permanent Cold War and Contemporary Conflict exhibition. Most of the aircraft currently suspended from the ceiling, including de Havilland Mosquito TT.35 TA719, will be brought down. Jon White, IWM Head of Conservation, described the undertaking
