London Luton Airport expansion approved
The UK Government has approved expansion plans submitted by London Luton Airport. Annual passenger numbers at the Bedfordshire airport are set to double, with the current permitted cap of 18 million passengers per year raised to 32 million passengers per year by 2043. The Development Consent Order (DCO) for the airport covers the building a second terminal building, additional aircraft stands, new taxiways, improvements to the existing terminal, and developments in current infrastructure and facilities.
