Luxeuil-Saint-Sauveur to regain nuclear role
President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic announced a pledge to increase its defences forces during a visit to Base Aérienne (BA) 116 Luxeuil-Saint-Sauveur air base, in the east of the country, on March 18, 2025. Within ten years the base will become the first to house the next generation of the Rafale, which will be equipped with a hypersonic nuclear air-to-surface missile.
