A debut project from Rob Byrne Mackay is the first new Indie airport in Orbx's growing Australian catalogue for MSFS.
The actual airport is in North Queensland, approximately an hour and 20 minutes from Brisbane in an A320. Mackay can handle a range of aircraft, including the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320. It is one of the relatively few airports in Australia where single-engine piston general aviation pilots get the chance to mix in with airliners.

The package from Orbx features 15cm aerial imagery, covering the airport and the immediate area. The airport is recreated in detail with ultra-high resolution PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures, custom ground polygons and terraformed runways. Other details include drainage channels, taxiways and aprons to reflect the natural and man-made landscaping.
