A campaign is afoot to repaint C-47A KG651

Lincolnshire’s Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre is engaged in a fundraising campaign to help it repaint 1944-built Douglas C-47A Dakota KG651. It’s aiming to keep one side in newly applied colours that maintain its original RAF identity with the other representing a USAAF C-47A Skytrain. The identity of the USAAF side can be specified by any donor making a single donation of £1,000. The campaign is being managed via a Just Giving fundraising page.
