Highlights include a new flight plan assistance feature and improved Air Traffic Control (ATC) phraseology. The update also adds the Cirrus SR22T G6. Developed in partnership with Working Title the aircraft sports a new 3D model and reworked propeller and flight dynamics using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). It also comes with accurate performance data and an engine model, including the turbocharger, fuel system and an ECU (Engine Control Unit) with EGT/CHT simulation, allowing for lean misfires, detonation and engine failure simulations.

Moreover, the iniBuilds A320neo, due to be released in Sim Update 14 has been delayed due to stability issues, which need to be resolved before it is made available.
New atmospheric modelling introduces wave length mapping for ozone layer scattering and the sun colours, resulting in a more realistic atmosphere and horizon. Snow and ice coverage accuracy has been improved along with adjustments to Live Weather.
Other features include updates to many of the default aircraft, various bug fixes, stability improvements and performance optimisations. More information is available on the Microsoft Flight Simulator website.
