MiG-27 repainted at Newark

The impressive Cold War jet has been given a new coat of paint at Newark Air Museum

Work on repainting Newark Air Museum’s Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-27K ‘Flogger’ 61912507006 ‘71’ has been completed at the Nottinghamshire attraction.

After being used in 2019 for a role in the Marvel film ‘Black Widow’ which was released in 2021, the aircraft has received fresh colours this summer. Volunteers at the Winthorpe site have carried out the work.

The MiG-27 was one of several airframes that featured in the museum’s most recent photography shoot – allowing enthusiasts to capture images during both daylight and night-time hours on Saturday, October 29. WITH THANKS TO HOWARD HEELEY-DOWN TO EARTH PROMOTIONS
