Milan Bergamo wins new A321LR long-haul link

A low-cost carrier plans to connect the Italian gateway with narrowbody jets on a 2883-mile route.

Air Arabia has confirmed intentions to begin a new service between Milan/Bergamo and Sharjah in the UAE from December 7.

Four-times-weekly rotations will be plied by the budget firm’s contingent of Airbus A321LRs.

Flight G9 710 is scheduled to depart the Middle Eastern city at 0645hrs, with a 1045hrs local time arrival at Bergamo; the return leg – G9 711 – departs Milan at 1145hrs before landing into Sharjah at 2100hrs local the same day. These operate on Wednesdays and Sundays.

The services are to be complemented by G9 712 – operating Mondays and Thursdays – with a 2155hrs departure from Sharjah, touching down into Italy at 0155hrs early the next morning. Finally, G9 713 leaves Milan at 0255hrs on Tuesday and Fridays before landing back into the UAE at 1210hrs (all times local).
