More than 100 Letters of Intent for hydrogen-powered Islander
Cranfield Aerospace Solutions (CAS), the British company that is developing a hydrogen-powered Britten-Norman Islander, has revealed that it has more than 100 Letters of Intent (LOI) and Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) signed for the aircraft, which is expected to make its first flight in Spring 2025.The hydrogen-powered Britten-Norman Islander is being developed as a zero-emission aircraft for regional air travel, and is expected to enter service by the late 2020s.
