Navy Wings Sea Fury receives new engine
At Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, the Navy Wings Heritage Flight is working to return Hawker Sea Fury FB11 VR930/G-CLNJ to flight with a new engine, after deciding on a change of powerplant earlier this year.At the beginning of September, a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp, which will replace the fighter’s original sleeve-valve Bristol Centaurus, arrived at the Navy Wings hangar.
