New helicopters for US nuclear security
The US Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration recently took delivery of a pair of AW139 helicopters that will support the agency’s Nuclear Emergency Support Team (NEST). The first of the NNSA’s newest Aerial Measuring System (AMS) helicopters arrived at the Remote Sensing Lab’s facility at Joint Base Andrews in Camp Springs, Maryland, on June 17 following its delivery flight from Leonardo’s AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corporation facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
