Nigerian Air Force Hercules pays rare UK visit

Nigerian Air Force C-130H Hercules NAF 913, was a rare visitor to Cambridge City Airport today (April 26).

The aircraft arrived at the Cambridgeshire airport around 10am this morning and departed at approximately 4pm this afternoon. A spokesperson for Marshall Aerospace, which owns the airport, told Key.Aero that the aircraft was on a cargo flight.

Hercules NAF 913 re-entered service on January 29, 2020 after undergoing Periodic Depot Maintenance (PDM) at the 631 Aircraft Maintenance Depot (631 ACMD) at Ikeja, Lagos. The C-130H is flown by 221 Flying Wing, based at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport, which also operates the stretched C-130H-30 variant.
