Norse Atlantic makes historic Antarctic Dreamliner landing
Norse Atlantic Airways has made history by operating the first-ever landing of a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in Antarctica. The aircraft – LN-FNC (c/n 38790) – touched down at Troll Airfield at 0201hrs local time on November 15, 2023. The Rolls-Royce Trent 1000-powered airframe left Oslo on November 13, bound for Cape Town, where it spent 40 hours before continuing to the research station. Flight N0787 carried 45 passengers – made up of scientists from various countries – plus 12 tonnes
