Norway’s first P-8A Poseidon leaves paint shop
The first Boeing P-8A Poseidon for the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) – serial 9582 ‘Vingtor’ – was rolled out of the paint shop in Renton, Washington, on July 9, after receiving its RNoAF livery, complete with 333 Skvadron’s (Squadron’s) famed ‘Saint’ logo on the tail. Norway has ordered five examples of the multi-mission maritime surveillance aircraft and recently announced that they will be named ‘Vingtor’, ‘Viking’, ‘Ulabrand’, ‘Hugin’ and ‘Munin’ in operational service.
