Norwegian Vampire in new Royal Auxiliary Air Force markings
A de Havilland Vampire wearing 502 (Ulster) Squadron markings arrived on September 6, 2024 at Aldergrove Flying Station, Northern Ireland. The aircraft in question was Vampire B.52 LN-DHY of the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron. The jet has been given 502 (Ulster) Squadron markings, plus serial WA123, to celebrate both the 100th anniversary of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force this year, and the centenary of the represented squadron in 2025.
