Offutt Air Force Base flooded

THE USAF has launched a recovery operation after Offutt AFB in Nebraska was damaged by severe flooding on March 16. The facility was left largely underwater, putting the base out of action. Nine aircraft from the 55th Wing – eight RC-135s and one E-4B – were evacuated and four more (three RC-135s and one E-4B) were moved to higher ground.
