Orbx has announced LIEO Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport for X-Plane 11 is in development.

Olbia is a popular holiday destination in north Sardinia just off the coast of mainland Italy with visitors from around Europe and the world flocking to the city during the summer months to enjoy the plentiful beaches and spectacular scenery.

Developed by Matteo Veneziani, the package from Orbx is a detailed rendition of Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport and the surrounding area with custom POIs around the city and original ship models.

The airport layout is based on up-to-date information to reflect the actual airport, including the extended runway and taxiway. Other highlights include custom aerial imagery, PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures and highly detailed airside & landside areas. It will also come with a full set of animations include SAM jetways, custom GSE (Ground Support Equipment) and static aircraft.
