Orlando International Airport (MCO) benefitted from the easing of travel restrictions throughout the first six months of 2021, as it records more than 3.8 million passengers passing through the hub in June.
Figures from May showed a 922% increase in traffic, compared with the same month in 2020, with June registering a 336% rise.

Domestic travel from mid-2021 increased by 319% to around 3.6 million travellers.
MCO was ranked as the 27th busiest hub out of the top 50 on the Airport Council International’s rankings for airports and air traffic in 2020.
According to the facility, airlines are helping to increase future growth at the site as services continue to resume both domestically and internationally.
The contributing airlines include Spirit, Frontier, Viva Air, Avianca and Emirates.
