The P-47D (affectionately known as the Jug) was one of the heaviest fighters of World War Two. Powered by a Pratt and Whitney R2800 and coupled with an impressive loadout including 50-calibre machine guns the Thunderbolt was a highly capable medium-range escort fighter and an excellent ground attack aircraft.
The package from Aeroplane Heaven features high-fidelity internal and external models with details such as gear wells and a detailed engine based on detailed plans and drawings.

Other highlights include an authentic cockpit with bespoke animations and effects, PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures, realistic pillowing of metal surfaces and a specially authored WWise sound set. It also sports an animated US military pilot figure, optional gunsights, the ability to add a GPS, weapons loadouts on the hard points and several authentic liveries.
The flight dynamics and performance figures are based on real flight tests along with a custom taildragger simulation. It is available on OrbxDirect for AUD$52.21 (approx £27.02).
