SimWorks Studios has announced the Pilatus PC-12 Legacy for Microsoft Flight Simulator is out now.

Powered by a 1,200hp engine, the PC-12 sports excellent cruise performance as well as being capable of operating from short, unprepared strips. The aircraft is also highly versatile and can be configured as an executive transport, commuter, cargo carrier or for air ambulance operations.

The package for MSFS is a high-fidelity rendition of the actual aircraft, developed with the help of Pilatus Aircraft and Fly7 Executive Aviation. Details include a high-quality 3D exterior model with 13 liveries and various interior configurations. It also features options for four or five-bladed propellers along with various animations, such as flaps and actuators, de-icing boots and prop beta/reverse modelling.

The cockpit sports authentic instrumentation, including a custom EFIS50 and animations such as window shades and night lighting. The flight model and systems are also accurately recreated with effects such as engine torque, realistic flap deployment, lift and drag coefficients, correct propeller beta and reverse operation and ITT (Interstage Turbine Temperature) simulation.

All the systems are accurately modelled, including the aileron-rudder interconnect system, yaw damper, stick shaker, environmental/pressurisation and the electrical system with working circuit breakers. The package is also compatible with PMS50 GTN, TDS GTNXi and the Sky4Sim tablet.

More than 2,800 authentic sounds are recorded from the real aircraft, including different audio effects for four and five-bladed propellers, engine and system sounds such as the gear and flap actuators, air conditioning and aural warnings/switches. The PC12 is available on the SimWorks website for €24.99.
