Peashooter back in Californian skies
Boeing P-26A ‘Peashooter’ 33-123 (NX3378G) made its first public flight in nearly five years on March 2 at Chino, California. The aircraft was the star attraction at the venue’s regular series of hangar talks. The only original flyable P-26 in the world, 33-123 was delivered to the USAAC in 1934 and served with the 27th Pursuit Group at Selfridge Field, Michigan, and the 20th Pursuit Group at Barksdale Field, Louisiana, before being sent to the Panama Canal Zone.
