As well as being a popular tourist destination it is served by scheduled flights to cities in Taiwan using ATR-72s, Boeing 737s, Airbus A321s, and DHC-6 Twin Otters. During the winter months, the prevalent northeast monsoon presents challenges for flight operations.

The scenery for MSFS is an authentic rendition of the real airport including the military and civilian areas. It sports detailed airport buildings and ground service equipment along with full-spec PBR (Physically Based Rendering) texture mapping to achieve realistic lighting and shadow effects.
Other highlights include custom apron markings, taxiway signs and accurate parking locations. It also sports various animations such as jetways, flags and lighthouses.

The surrounding area is modelled with custom landscapes, buildings and roads. Various landmarks and points of interest are also included:
The package is designed to balance detail and performance with optimised LODs (Levels of Detail) based on official guidelines.
Penghu is available on simMarket for € 21.48 (approx £18.60).
