Hospitality firm, Plaza Premium Group, has opened its first lounge at Japan’s Chubu Centrair International Airport.
The inauguration is part of the company’s plan to expand its presence within the Asia Pacific region.

“The opening of our first Plaza Premium Lounge in Japan presents very exciting opportunities for Plaza Premium Group as we continue to grow our footprint in the North Asia region,” said Jonathon Song, global business development director of Plaza Premium Group. “Our debut follows the success of the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo, and when the country and the world begin to reopen borders to international travel, we are confident that this exceptionally diverse and fascinating country will be top of mind for many international travellers.
“Nagoya is one of Japan’s most significant economic centres, we are thrilled to be launching their first airport lounge with a potential to serve travellers from various international destinations. We look forward to sharing our award-winning and best-in-class services, facilities, signature hospitality, and philosophy for worry-free, seamless, and comfortable airport experiences with millions of passengers transiting through or departing from Central Japan International Airport and connect them with other parts of the world.”
In 2005, the hub was opened as a new air gateway to central Japan. Since then, it has been recorded as one of the busiest airports within the country, providing services to nearly 13 million visitors per year.
