Polish airport near Ukraine border could be key defence support hub
Poland’s Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport, located in the southeast of the country just 50 miles (80km) from the Ukraine border, could be playing a significant part of the NATO response to the ongoing Russian invasion, with multiple Allied transport aircraft arriving over the past 24 hours. Aircraft from the US (C-17), UK (C-17), Greece (C-130), Spain (A400M), and Germany (A400M) visited the small, single runway airport from February 27-28, which offers the A4/E40 trunk road direct to Korczowa crossing on the Poland-Ukraine
