Ecuadorian airline, Aeroregional has begun operating flights between Quito, Guayaquil and Galapagos, making it the third carrier to operate a domestic service between the two regions.
The new link is set to run twice-weekly – on Tuesdays and Saturdays – on a Boeing 737-500 aircraft.

“In addition to the importance it has for the reactivation of tourism and air transport, we are sending the message to the world that things are being done well in Ecuador,” said Ramon Miro, president and CEO of Quiport.
Manuel Rodriguez, president of Aeroregional, added: “In the coming months we will continue to announce the opening of new domestic routes.”
Currently, flights from Quito are running to seven national destinations and 11 international locations in North, Central and South America, as well as Europe.
