Recce Saab 29 'Flying Barrel' put on display in Sweden
Saab S 29C 29969, a reconnaissance variant of the ‘Flying Barrel’ jet, has been added to the outdoor exhibition at the F 11 Flygmuseum in Skavsta, near Nyköping. The aircraft flew with the F 11 wing from 1955 to 1960, succeeding the Spitfire XIX and thus introducing jet-powered reconnaissance aircraft in Sweden.
