Restored Buchón rolled out in Germany

MeierMotors has completed restoration work on Hispano HA-1112-M1L Buchón Wk Nr.187 'Yellow 12' at its busy facility in Bremgarten

Fitted with a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine the 1958-built fighter has been completed by the respected German company on behalf of a private owner, and is intended to receive a civilian German registration shortly. This particular Buchón served with the Spanish Air Force until the mid-1960s, but its appearance was adapted to represent the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2 flown by the Luftwaffe’s Maj Heinrich Ehrler before he became commander of JG 5.
