Robins AFB set to host USAF E-11A BACN unit
The US Air Force (USAF) has announced plans to establish a Bombardier E-11A Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) squadron at Robins Air Force Base (AFB), Georgia, which would serve under the 319th Reconnaissance Wing (RW) as a geographically separated unit (GSU). This proposed plan was announced by the USAF on June 30 and is subject to the air arm receiving Congressional approval to withdraw four examples of its Robins-based Northrop Grumman E-8C Joint Surveillance and Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS)
