Romania continues IAR-330L sustainment ahead of post-2030 replacement
Romania will operate its ageing fleet of IAR-330L helicopters into the 2030s before considering a replacement of the type, it can be revealed, with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) recently awarding a contract to IAR Brasov for sustainment services as part of an ongoing maintenance programme. In a contract notice published on the official EU tender site on early October it was revealed that the contract, valued at RON6.8m (£1.18m), would see worn components removed and replaced by IAR Brasov.
