Russia steps back from widebody airliner joint venture
Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has revealed it has ended its involvement in the CRAIC CR929 widebody aircraft it was jointly developing with China Speaking at a military technology forum in late August, the manufacturer’s general director Yury Slyusar confirmed it was no longer a partner in the project, citing the withdrawal of support from UAC’s international suppliers following the imposing of sanctions on Russia after its invasion of Ukraine. He added the conglomerate still intends to support the CR929
