Russian presidential transport in Luxembourg

The aircraft is one of nine Il-96s in use with Russia’s Spetsialny Letny Otryad (SLO, Presidential Flight), which is the type’s major operator. The SLO fleet includes this Il-96- 300PU (Punkt Upravleniya, command post), a single Il-96-300PU(M) version plus two Il-96-300PU(M1) models with VIP interiors, expanded communications suites and medical facilities. Aircraft RA-96016 carried Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev for
