Saab hails GlobalEye progress, eyes South Korea as next potential customer
Saab has had some successful Dubai Airshows (DAS) in the past. There was the announcement by the UAEAF&AD for two GlobalEyes airborne early warning and control aircraft in DAS 2015, with two more coming at DAS 2019. Sandwiched in between, at Abu Dhabi’s IDEX (International Defence Exhibition) came the requirement for a single aircraft in 2017. Maiden flight of the first aircraft took place in March 2018, and by the end of February 2021 all three of the initial order
