SCOOP: Finland to build hundreds of F-35 forward fuselages
Finland will build hundreds of forward fuselages for Lockheed Martin’s global F-35 stealth fighter programme it has emerged, as the Finnish defence authorities inked deals on February 11 to confirm the acquisition of the fighter following the type’s selection in late-2021. Industrial workshare agreements for the manufacture of F-35 components and sections are closely guarded by national governments, given the potential future market for the fifth-generation fighter could run into the thousands of airframes.
