Washington State’s Seattle-Tacoma International Airport has opened a new access route at its cell phone lot.
The latest step in the ongoing upgrade of the lot which features 200 parking spaces and free Wi-Fi, involved the building of a new overpass and south entrance designed to dramatically reduce wait times exiting the lot, increase efficiency and provide reconfigured parking spaces.
According to SEA-TAC, the new access will eliminate the most challenging aspect of the lot, the left-turn exit, which delayed vehicles returning to the main terminal.
Other upgrades recently unveiled include dual right-turn lanes onto Air Cargo Road for additional capacity plus a one-way car park configuration and expanded right turn lane. -
Additional construction will continue over the coming months, with further landscaping, as well as footpaths, bus shelters and traffic signals.
