Six more US Special Ops MH-47Gs ordered

Boeing has been awarded a contract to supply an additional six MH-47G helicopters by US Special Operations Command. The $212629,000 cost-plus fixed fee and firm-fixed-price modification to an existing delivery order contract was awarded to the US manufacturer on November 24.

In addition to the procurement of six MH-47Gs, the deal also includes eight spare shipsets. Fiscal year 2021 procurement and aircraft procurement, US Army, funds are financing the acquisition. This covers all six that were requested and approved in the FY21 budget. A completion date for this non-competitive contract was not given.
