SJ-100 flight test programme takes off
The prototype Yakovlev SJ-100 has begun its certification flight test programme. With five crew members onboard, the twinjet took off from the Gromov Institute near Moscow Zhukovsky airport for the two-and-a-half hour flight. The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) later reported that everything went as expected. The flight testing follows various ground tests that have already been completed, including doors, landing gear, flight deck displays and flight control surfaces.
