Eagle Dynamics has announced a new third-party developer Crosstail Studios, is working on the A-1H Skyraider for DCS World.
The A-1H Skyraider attack aircraft served most of its time during the Korean and Vietnam wars. Known for its ability to carry heavy ordnance, it was powered by a Wright R-3350 Duplex-Cyclone supercharged radial engine, the same that powered the B-29 Superfortress heavy bomber.

The DCS: A-1H Skyraider will be a highly accurate representation of the actual Skyraider, based on 3D scans from aircraft at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum. Subject matter experts have also worked on the flight model characteristics and other vital details. Crosstail also has the support of the A-1 Skyraider Association veteran community to aid in the development of the aircraft.

Additionally, Crosstail Studios has partnered with Echo One Niner Audio Production, which will produce the A-1H Skyraider audio. No release date has yet been announced.
