DC Designs and Just Flight have announced the PT-17 Stearman for Microsoft Flight Simulator is out now.

The classic PT-17 Stearman biplane is DC Designs' first piston-engine aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) featuring two vintage and four modern liveries.

The aircraft has been designed using Microsoft Flight Simulator's 'Modern' aerodynamics, native animations and materials. In addition, custom high-definition WWise sounds from Sim Acoustics are included as well as full Virtual Reality compatibility.

Up front, the 3D virtual cockpit features accurately modelled controls and detailed texturing using PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials. Other highlights include fully operational front and rear cockpit positions with optional crew configurations:

• Modern GA Asobo occupants
• World War Two student and instructor.

Crew figures in the virtual cockpit are coded to disappear when you occupy their seats.

Finally, the package comes with a full operations manual as well as a comprehensive paint kit.
