Swissport will create nine new lounges in London/Heathrow, London/Gatwick and Birmingham after a joint venture was set up between the company and Airport Dimensions.
The deal will see Swissport manage the spaces under the existing No1 Lounges and Clubroom brands and follows an announcement that the company will also take up ownership of the No1 Lounges brand in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Shaun Weston, vice president global lounges at Swissport International, said: “Aspire’s global lounge hospitality business is award-winning, and we are delighted to be expanding it with nine additional lounges in the UK and three in Australia. We are constantly working to enhance our offering and provide a luxury alternative to other lounge and food and beverage options in airports. We are excited to see customers return to our airport lounges as global air travel recovers. We continue to further drive the global expansion of our successful lounge brands and are thrilled to complement them with the No1 Lounges guest offering.”
According to Swissport, the company manages 54 lounges at more than 30 airports in 13 countries under its Aspire brand and the lounges are open to travellers irrespective of their class of travel.
